This international recognition signifies that Hongshi New Material’ practices in environmental management, labor and human rights, business ethics, and sustainable procurement have reached globally leading levels.
Founded in 2007, EcoVadis is one of the most credible corporate sustainability rating agencies in the world, covering 185 countries and regions and more than 150,000 companies. Its assessment framework is built around four dimensions—environment, labor and human rights, business ethics, and sustainable procurement—and quantitatively scores companies through 21 key indicators. The Silver Medal requires a company’s overall ranking to be within the top 15% globally. At present, EcoVadis ratings have become an important basis for leading international customers to assess suppliers’ ESG performance and are regarded by the industry as a “green passport” for global supply chains.
Founded in 2021, Hongshi New Material is affiliated with Oriental Yuhong, a leading global enterprise in the building materials industry, and is a strategic layout of the Group’s upstream new materials segment. The company focuses on the R&D and production of green and environmentally friendly raw materials for waterproof building materials, such as vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) emulsions and redispersible polymer powders. It has obtained a total of 23 patents, and its product performance indicators have reached internationally advanced levels, filling multiple gaps in China’s green and environmentally friendly raw materials sector for waterproof building materials.
